Hope was never the problem.
\nHope is the reason people love again after heartbreak.
\nApply again after rejection.

The problem was never hope.
\nIt was believing there was only one way for hope to be answered.
\nOnly one door.
\nOnly one person.
\nOnly one version of the life we’d already started living in our minds.<\/p>\n
And when that version didn’t come \u2014
\nwe stood at the closed window so long
\nwe stopped noticing the room had other walls.
\nNo one talks about that part.
\nHow grief narrows the vision.
\nHow one disappointment, if we let it, quietly becomes a verdict.<\/p>\n
If this didn’t happen…
\nnothing beautiful ever will.
\nBut life has a way of proving us wrong.
\nNot immediately.

This isn’t about pretending every ending is secretly a beginning.
\nIt’s about refusing to let one ending write the rest of the story.<\/p>\n
Maybe that’s what open hands actually look like.
\nNot empty expectations.
\nNot pretending not to care.
\nNot the performance of being unbothered.
\nJust the quiet decision to keep the heart available.

\nI still don’t understand.
\nAnd I’m not closing.<\/p>\n
One day you’ll probably find yourself somewhere you never planned to be.
\nLaughing a laugh you didn’t see coming.
\nAt home in a life your younger self never would have written.<\/p>\n
And maybe what you’ll notice isn’t that the first window was wrong.
\nIt was simply the only one you could imagine at the time.
\nBecause that’s what hope does.
\nIt gives us one picture.
\nLife, sometimes, gently hands us another.<\/p>\n
And the heart\u2014 the one that broke because it arrived too early\u2014 never actually lost its ability to find beauty.
\nIt simply had to discover that beauty wasn’t confined to the future it had already imagined.<\/p>\n
